Shere Khan Quick study

Some quick Shere Khan studies i did whilst at work, from living lines library blog, not sure who the originals were by, Frank Thomas or Milt Karl i think.
Shere Khan is still the best bad guy in animation. a lot to learn from these drawings

i saw the image and thought i have to study this, its awesome, so much going on in the pose.
i pushed the head and hair for my own enjoyment and experimentation needs. i made her look a little happier made her hair fuller.

colour study fun

Hers something a little different from me, ive been experimenting with strong colour and simple shapes. Trying to break things down to the basic elements. These can be really quick to do and are very rewarding. They could also be a good way to work out lighting for a more detailed piece.

Undead King

a bit of a quicky to keep me in practice

work sketches

i have stacks of these at work all A3 paper that i have slipped under my keyboard for times of rest from animation. heres a couple of sketches i did at work on friday, trying out some of that retro kinda look. i use it as my sketchbook really, i find it the best way to get sketchbook work done. i think i'll work in to the little kid sketch and maybe do a colour study for him. i may even make him in 3D
